Ben's underground name is Itazura because of the misfortune that lies in his wake. He always says to his target "I've come to deliver some bad luck" before killing them and he always completes a mission with 100% accuracy, without remorse. This is a side that Lou, his best friend, admires. Ben's demeanor is very cool, bordering nonchalant and almost detached until he met the stranger, Julien who drunked on his bar and lived life as he wanted to. He then began to reveal a much warmer and more human side of himself, which Lou despised for.

After temporary giving up his life as an gunman, Ben focused to own his grandpa bar and his personality changes drastically as he takes on a more lighthearted approach to life. Now he is laid-back and quite calm demeanor, and sometimes smiling or laughing. However, his cheerfulness may not be entirely genuine, as his calmness is more akin to apathy and he tends to feel strong self-hatred. He remains cheerful even during his self-loathing rambling, and acts disturbingly optimistically toward horrible things such as death, as long as it's for the sake of him.

Memories of his past as a child, in regards to the death of his biological mother and father recur within brief flashbacks and serves as the catalyst for his seemingly indifferent exterior and seamless interior. The mysterious and skilled man who is later found to be Zac Axelox, is the one that raised younger Ben to be the skilled gunman he is, also becomes part of a reminiscently bitter past, the realization of the cause of his own father and mother's deaths more than enough to push the young boy to the edge.He had grown to respect this teacher; this mentor of his who taught Ben how to use a gun in the first place, exposing him to the a world of vigorous training.Actually Zac trained and took care of Ben for six months after killing Ben parents until he find Zac's bleeding to death in an alley. Sometimes within the same year Ben is found by a man named Carl Wayne who had a management position in Desvnie Orphanage. He took care of Ben for 3 to 4 years.⠀⠀⠀(1)

Even though he’s fought many times with Haruki Han, a black belt in Kempo at orphanage, their matches always end up in a draw.A month later, he was adopted by one of distinguished families in France, Grémillon's. Rumors spread that even though Grémillon was a separated family, there was a lot of whispering around that the family had a dark secret in it. Even Ben himself admitted it without bringing up the facts.
